RE: COVID-19 Information and Update


At the present time, all Martin’s Storage locations are operating exclusively by phone and/or email. All physical offices are closed and access to each location is subject to mandated restrictions and protocols. In order to comply with Provincial Orders in place until July 10 2020, and to help the safest possible environment for both clients and staff that we can, we have implemented the following procedures, until further notice:

Use of Face Coverings or Masks

In response to the KFL&A Public Health units public health order, we are now asking all clients to please wear a mask or face covering when visiting our facilities to help protect others. We will be unable to permit access to our indoor facilities without a mask or face covering.

At outdoor facilities, our staff will be wearing masks or face coverings when assisting clients, and we would request the same courtesy in return during these interactions.

Access to Your Unit

While current restrictions continue to ease, we are better able to accommodate last minute requests for access, but please continue to follow the access procedure below:

(a) Stay at home if you are feeling unwell or exhibiting signs/ symptoms of COVID-19, (fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing), have been in contact with someone who has travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days, or have been in direct contact with anyone who has a probable or confirmed case of COVID-19. Please note; you can call us to authorize someone else to access your space on your behalf as long as they too, follow the access eligibility criteria noted above.

(b) Please call in advance to make an appointment. Our staff will review our booking schedule and work to find a mutually agreeable time for you to access your unit. If you show up without an appointment, you may be asked to come at a later time and/or date.

(c) Please arrive at your specified appointment time and with only the number of people required to access and move your belongings. Depending on the number of visitors on-site, and the number with you at the time of entry, we may need to ask individuals to wait outside beyond the appointment time.

(d) To reduce the number of people accessing our sites, please limit your visit to a single trip, (if possible). Please bring everything you need to put into storage, and take with you, everything you need for the next few weeks. Please keep within your allotted access time.

Note: For customers with units located inside keypad- accessed areas, access privileges will remain the same.

Operational Hours

We will still be available to our customers by phone and email during our temporary hours which are detailed by location below. Our website will continue to be available in order to manage your account and access other information you may need during this time.
 
Renting a Unit

Customers wanting to rent a unit may do so by contacting us by phone or email, or by making a reservation online. If you’d like to see a unit in-person, please call into our office and bring a face-mask with you for the showing. Once a size/unit is confirmed, we will email a link to your E-Lease that you can complete at your convenience. Upon completion of the E-Lease, a payment will be taken through one of the methods detailed below, and a move-in time can then be booked with one of our team members.

Given our office is not open, customers renting a unit for the first time will need to provide the following; two pieces of ID, (photo ID can be emailed to us), complete contact information, give two alternate contacts such as friends or family members, a valid Visa or Mastercard, and valid email address where the E-Lease can be sent.

Remote Payment Options
We will continue to offer remote payment options listed below to all customers - we will be unable to accept cash or debit payments during this time. If you require assistance using any of these options please do not hesitate to reach out to our office.
 

Online/Telephone Banking: to set up online banking you can add “R. Paul Martin Construction Co. Ltd.” as a payee to your bank’s bill payments system, then reference your account number found on your invoice or receipt. If you are having trouble locating your account number, you can call our office to have them help you.

Online Credit Card/Visa Debit: customers can logon to our website and click on the “pay online” box on the home page and then select the site you store with. You will be asked to “create an account”, which will then ask for your gate access code or the phone number on file, along with our unit number in order to confirm your identity.

Direct Withdrawal (ACH): our staff can send a copy of our Pre-Authorized Debit form that can be filled out in just a couple of minutes and return back to our office with a void cheque or direct withdrawal form from your banking institution. Regular rental payments will then come directly out of your account when due.

Automatic Credit Card: to arrange for rent payments to be paid automatically on your credit card, you can simply call our office, provide the credit card information to our staff over the phone, and let them know you would like to be enrolled for this payment method.

We are working hard to keep our customers and staff safe and healthy and appreciate your patience and support as we do so. We will continue stay in touch as the pandemic unfolds, and remain available if there are any questions or concerns. You may contact the facility with which you store, either by email or telephone within our new temporary hours.
